About the course

Modern football demands players who are physically prepared to perform at the highest level while maintaining health and well-being throughout their careers. To achieve this, fitness coaches must understand the complex relationship between physical conditioning, performance, and recovery.

The UEFA B Fitness Diploma is designed for coaches who aspire to lead fitness development programs in elite environments for both men’s and women’s football. This qualification equips coaches with the knowledge and skills to integrate evidence-based performance strategies into team and individual training plans.

The UEFA B Fitness diploma will equip coaches with the knowledge and practical skills to develop football-specific fitness within the modern game. By completing the course, learners will enhance their understanding of how to plan, deliver, and evaluate fitness training that aligns with the technical and tactical demands of football. The programme emphasises collaborative working with technical coaches to co-design integrated training practices, while developing competence in player monitoring, profiling, and data-informed decision making. Graduates will be able to apply effective coaching methods to support performance, player development, and long-term physical progression.
